Proverbs
25
Pro 25:1 These are
also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing[dhh1] : but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. [dhh2]
Pro 25:3 The heaven for
height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
Pro 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and
there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
Pro 25:5 Take away the wicked from
before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
Psa 119:119 Thou puttest
away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
Eze 22:18 Son of man, the
house of Israel is to me become dross:
all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the
furnace; they
are even the dross of silver.
Eze 22:19 Therefore thus saith
the Lord GOD; Because ye are all
become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into
the midst of Jerusalem.
Pro 25:6 Put not forth
thyself in the presence of the king, and stand
not in the place of great [dhh3] men:
Pro 25:7 For better it is
that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest
be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine
eyes have seen.
Pro 25:8 Go not forth hastily
to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
Pro 25:9 Debate thy cause
with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a
secret to another:
Pro 25:10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.
Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is
like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Pro 25:12 As an earring
of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover
upon an obedient ear.
Pro 25:13 As the cold of snow
in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send
him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Pro 25:14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift [dhh4] is like clouds and wind without rain.
Pro 25:15 By long forbearing
is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the
bone.
Pro 25:16 Hast thou found
honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith,
and vomit it.
Pro 25:17 Withdraw thy foot
from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee,
and so hate thee.
Pro 25:18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour
is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Pro 25:19 Confidence in an
unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out
of joint.
Pro 25:20 As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as
vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
Pro 25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
Pro 25:22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall
reward thee.
Pro 25:23 The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a
backbiting tongue.
Pro 25:24 It is better
to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a
wide house.
Pro 25:25 As cold
waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
Pro 25:26 A righteous man
falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt
spring.
Pro 25:27 It is not
good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not
glory.
Pro 25:28 He that hath
no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and
without walls.

minute Bible Lesson (Feed thy Enemies)
Pro 25:21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat[dhh5] ; and if he be thirsty,
give him water to drink:
Pro 25:22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall
reward thee.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that
it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.[dhh6]
Mat 5:44 But I say unto you,
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
The elect enemies …
Rom 11:28 As concerning the
gospel, they are enemies for your sakes:
but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
An example
of a elect enemy which persecuted the righteous …
Act 22:7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
Act 22:8 And I answered, Who
art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and
ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye
clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto
me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the
righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred,
and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a
stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee
sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer
and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do
hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Joh 6:35 And Jesus said unto
them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall
never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Isa 49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor
sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
Rev 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light
on them, nor any heat.
Pro 11:12 He that is void
of wisdom despiseth his neighbor: but a man of
understanding holdeth his peace.
Pro 11:13 A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he
that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Rom 16:25 Now to him that
is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was
kept secret since the world began,
Pro 28:11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath
understanding searcheth him out.
Ecc 12:9 And moreover,
because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good
heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
Ecc 12:10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words:
and that which was written was
upright, even words of truth.
Luk 14:8 When thou art bidden
of any man to a wedding, sit
not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable
man than thou be bidden of him;
Luk 14:9 And he that bade
thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
Luk 14:10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Psa 10:3
For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
Ecc 5:19 Every man also to
whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof,
and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour;
this is the gift of God.
Jer 5:2 And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear
falsely.
Jer 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Psa 139:19 Surely thou wilt
slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
Psa 139:20 For they speak
against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy
name in vain.
Psa 139:21 Do not I hate them,
O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against
thee?
Psa 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
